a relationship that needs Acceptance

Will there ever be a successful relationship between a volunteer and ex-offender? Yes, maybe, no! On Saturday, TT and I had to help out in a relationship problem between CP & RT. It wasn't an easy settlement but have to do it.

In a relationship, there are many beautiful wonders. We change, adapt, scarifice, or even do foolish things. Everything is so vulnerable... Listening to RT's & CP's arguments on the views about their relationship makes me realised that they have different definitions and expectations of it. RT is a nice, sweet and loving guy but lacks of a little intellect. CP is a sporty, outspoken and socially active girl with intellect but lacks of a little understanding. Anyone who sees them will think that they are not compatable.

Could see how RT's worry had became a possessiveness in CP's eyes. I felt the association when RT spoke about his anxiety. It can never be a painless task but it can be easily taken for granted. CP feels that she prefers hanging out with group of friends, engaging in constructive conversations and enjoying her activities. RT feels that he wants to spend all his available time watching movie, going out, etc with CP.

When asked what RT wants in this relationship, he can't seems to either understand the question or not know what he really wants. When CP said she wanted a cool of period, could see the reluctance in his teary eyes. Guess he's really afraid of losing CP... (I will too...)

Acceptance is what they need...

Learning to accept each other's virtues and limitations.
