my First Chakradance...

Wonder what that chim word is??? It's the healing dance practice and a journey into Self where the focus is on personal experience rather than performance, created by Natalie Southgate in 1998.

I attended this 3 hr session today and it was experiential. It focused on the 7 main chakras in our body. The base, lower abdomen, between navel and base of sternum, heart, throat third eye (forehead) and crown (top of head). It teaches us how amazingly ur body could connect with music and surroundings and being aware of our body responses to the different rhythms .

I had difficulty connecting to the first music then i decided that i'll just do it. It's a little tiring after going through those dances but i felt lighter after. Had a chance to medicate and my own space to ease my hectic soul/mind. Somehow my shoulders felt a little lighter. I actually doze of during the reflection segment, swaying from left to right and right to left (like a pendulum).

Oh yes, it was a birthday treat from Mee Ling (thanks RO). Thanks for allowing me to energise myself in a different way....
