Another week has come and it's ending soon. It has been a very 'fruitful' 3 days, getting to know a little about life working in the vessels. The journey to Tuas was so tiring and we had to dragged 6 standees, 1 bag of pamphlets (abt 5kg) and 1 bag of pens. Let me share with you how is life over there... I've never been to shipyards these many times before wor, 3 times in a roll somemore and visited all 3 different sizes of Keppel's shipyards, the S, M & L. Shipyards have pretty tight security. I noticed there were a few types of guards, they have the yayapapaya ones, the slacking ones, the daydreaming ones and the tekan people ones. Here's my little description of the yards.
1) Environment: Manly, Greasy, Filthy, Humid
2) Odour: rusty, petrolum, sweat
3) Colour: mainly black (cos lots of Bangladeshis) / beige & white (uniforms)
4) Advantange of working in a shipyard: can save alot. There's no shopping malls...
