Thots on 'ships...

If you are thinking that am writing about marine/naval stuff, go fly kite! Am not writing about sampan, bumboat, vessels or crusies. What are the other ships that you know? (Give you 1 min to think about it)...

kinSHIP, friendSHIP, relationSHIP...
Yesterday, I had 2 quite immersing conversations with 2 different people. It's all about the ships mentioned above. Was chatting with TT, on my way to P.Centre and we spoke about RY. Realised that RY's relationship with his wife had gradually eroded. Though they are both living under the same roof and sharing the same bed but guess RY's heart is no longer with his wife. Frequent quarrel and disagreements starting to arise between the 2 of them and guess who suffers? It's gonna be their 10 yr old kid. Wonder what was going through their mind when they were quarreling and fighting? Have they ever spare a thought for their son and the impact this poor child is going through... What is a relationship without true love but only gratitude.

Spent my later evening with b.bug, was her SAVIOUR :) for the evening, rescued her from 2 of her 'unreasonable' friends. Poor bug, kenna cornered by her cloesest friends... We talked about the happenings in her life. Topics on friendship, life and death and self-centeredness were what we chatted. She was telling me that she has not been a 'good friend' to her friends, no effort taken to get them or look for birthday presents. Her friends often called her because they were either troubled or bored. As we chat further, the topic got even heart-rending. Her sigh was heartbreaking, could feel the disappointment in her tonality. She was saying that if she disappear or depart one day, people feel sad because of the concept of death, she's a friend or she's b.bug. At first i was puzzled, too chim for me to analyze those phrases especially when it just past midnite. Then i asked for an explanation, realised that she had greatly defined the 3 catagories (am impressed).

Personally, I feel regardless is friendship, kinship or relationship, they are defined by values and the amount of effort we put in to create the result we want. Of course things are always not under our control BUT at least we try. It's not about the gifts that we get for/from our friends nor selectively accomodating to their nonsense. We do it because we want to and not because of obligations. In life, many a time we are bound by what we SHOULD do... why not what we COULD do, it's definitely much simplier and happier. Society is already so complex, why allow complexity into our private lives? To me what's important and meaningful is who's there to pick you up when you fall, walk beside you through the darkest hour, be your shoulder when you needed most (regardless crying or sleeping but no drooling) and to make you smile when you are down.

We determine, develop and actualise the colourful events in our life...
