A Walk @ Marina Barrage

Finally we decided to make a trip down to Marina Barrage to see what exactly a city reservoir is. I must say it's pretty impressive, a multi purpose locality for water supply, flood control and lifestyle attraction. A huge reservoir that is build on a reclaim land and consists of 9 gates which block out the tides. When the level of water in the barrage is high, it sends signals out to alert the ships nearby that it will be opening its gates for water to be released into the sea.

After a walk round the barrage, we decided to have a cuppa at the cafe, food n beverages weren't impressive, but the view that overlook the sea was an indulging and relaxing one.

As you can see, it was quite a cloudy day. Let's hope that the gloomy days of the nation would soon be over.
